Recruitment Fraud Alert
Fraudsters impersonate staffing companies to steal money and personal data. Here is how to tell a genuine CRI approach from a fake one.
Requires CRI confirmation. The statements below must be
verified against CRI's actual recruiting practices before publication. Anything CRI cannot
stand behind should be removed.
CRI will never
- Ask you to pay a fee at any stage of recruitment or onboarding
- Ask you to purchase equipment, software or gift cards
- Ask for bank details, Social Security number or identity documents before a formal offer
- Make a job offer without an interview
- Conduct an entire hiring process over a messaging app alone
How to verify a message
- Check the sender's email domain carefully — look for lookalike spellings
- Confirm the role appears on this website
- Contact CRI directly using the details on our contact page, not details supplied in the message
If you suspect fraud
Contact CRI using the details on our contact page. In the United States you can also report to the FBI Internet Crime Complaint Center and the Federal Trade Commission.
